Onion Rings (Vegan + Gluten Free)
I hadn't had onion rings for about a year before trying this recipe. One day I woke up and was tired of being deprived of one of my favourite foods so I decided to just make them myself. The results were not disappointing.
They're super crispy, easy (but kinda messy) to make and
d e l i c i o u s.
What I used:
Note: I literally didn’t have oat flour so I just dumped some oatmeal in a blender, pulsed it for a few seconds and boom.
What I did:
Cut onion into thick slices
Pour out flour into a bowl
Pour cashew milk into a separate bowl
Cover onion ring in oat flour
Dip onion ring into cashew milk
Cover onion in out flour (yes, again).
Pour olive oil into nonstick pan & warm at medium heat
Fry onion rings on both sides until golden brown
What you can do differently:
Mix salt & pepper into oat flour to add a lil' something extra
