Ocean Wise Tempeh and Chips
beer battered tempeh fillets marinated with lemon and dill. Served with chunky potato wedges, fried till crisp then tossed in our house blend of seasoning, creamy tartar sauce and a lemon wedge.
Based on my past as a fillet-o-fish enthusiast with a fierce lover of fish and chips you can imagine my delight when Mythology changed their menu and added vegan fish and chips. I’m not going to sit here and say that it tasted exactly like fish and chips but it’s an amazing vegan alternative. The tempeh is cooked so perfectly. I’ll admit I was skeptical but this dish definitely held it’s own and it’s already got me hooked.
I’ve been back to Mythology three times already to have another taste. No, I’m not joking.
The service at Mythology is always amazing. The space is well-decorated and is probably best described as a mix between an 80s diner and a casual bar. The art hanging on the wall is so amusing maybe next time I go I’ll try to take some pictures of the decor.
I think Mythology is overall pretty well priced. In terms of the tempeh and chips I’d definitely say the price matches the meal perfectly.
