Bloomer's was the 4th stop on my food crawl so even though my wallet was open, my stomach was full and partially closed for business. Instead of getting a full meal I opted for some carrot cake and juice, a simple meal full of simple pleasures.
The carrot cake was good, it tasted just … just like carrot cake. The cheesecake icing was good but I have to admit I wiped most of it off since I have a low tolerance for icing, it's not my friend and I have little to no patience with it when it decides to spread itself all over my baked goods trying to steal the show. It's rude and unacceptable.
The just came in a 355 mL bottle, so don't expect a fresh glass of juice to be served to you on a silver platter like I did. It's one of those drinks that makes you feel like you're cleansing your body and soul after a few sips. I wish the pineapple flavour was a bit stronger cause the the yellow pepper was kinda strong. If you have an aversion to yellow peppers you should probably stay away.
The staff here is really nice, whenever I come in here filming the server.. or owner?? not sure always stares at me but never asks me to stop filming which I appreciate. The space is adorable and feels really homey.
I'm still shocked that this place is selling entire LOAVES OF BREAD for $5 dollars.. FIVE DOLLARS. Last time I came here I got a loaf of chocolate chip banana bread for $5 and now... carrot cake.
I will never stop giving this place my coin as long as they continue to shovel me full of well-priced baked goods.
